Editadas y publicadas por La caverna, escuela de escritura creativa. American Hispanic Empowerment y Fundación la caverna, apoyan y difunden la producción literaria y cultural de nuevos escritores y poetas residentes en USA.

Objeto social de la Fundación la Caverna:

 La FUNDACIÓN LA CAVERNA tiene como objetivo primordial el de auspiciar, promover y difundir actividades comunitarias, sociales, cívicas, literarias y artísticas tendientes a elevar el nivel cultural y el fortalecimiento de los valores hispanoamericanos en los Estados Unidos de América. Dado el fenómeno poblacional de la presencia hispana en la nación americana—que ya es de 60 millones— se hace necesario e imprescindible empoderar esta población para que, conociendo la riqueza de sus raíces, se integre totalmente y contribuya al engrandecimiento de esta gran nación.

Escorzo tropical/A tropical foreshortening

Cinco voces hispanoamericanas calientan con sus relatos el invierno que se avecina. Desde Florida y Texas, en edición bilingüe, las voces de cinco experimentados narradores confluyen en una aventura editorial llamada Un Escorzo Tropical, A tropical foreshortening.

El título de esta Antología viene al caso porque para «iniciar una fiesta» y entrar en el fragor del suspenso y del albur, en la medida que transcurre la lectura nos vamos tropezando también con textos de poesía y de teatro, de alegorías profundas vertidas en mini ficción y hasta de reflexiones críticas sobre el milagro de la escritura. Recogen el trazo individual de ocho escritores hispanoamericanos, unos jóvenes y otros no tanto, unos, avezados en las trampas de la escritura y otros, neófitos deslumbrados en el umbral del alfabeto, pero todos unidos por el fervor de su profunda adicción: comunicar a través de la expresión literaria. ¡Bienvenidos a la fiesta!

La edición de estas antologías que recogen trabajos de más de una veintena autores fue preparada José Díaz- Díaz en coedición con la poeta y escritora de origen venezolano María Gabriela Madrid, actualmente residente en Connecticut, bajo el patrocinio Fundación La Caverna y American Hispanic Empowerment.
