PERSONAL STATEMENT
I love being a bridge of understanding and connection across languages and cultures between
individuals, groups and organisations. As a translator and proofreader, I am very attentive to
detail and always eager to find the perfect word or expression. I am always proactive at learning
new vocabulary and developing glossaries to give consistency to the unique tone and style of my
client’s voice. As an interpreter, I am highly skilled at listening, memorising and conveying
meaning with accuracy, clarity, nuance and natural flow. Given my experience as a Nonviolent
Communication trainer and coach, I am empathic, caring, easy to talk to and I will help clients feel
understood and relaxed so we can work better together. I am a team player and strive to be
sensitive and attuned to my client’s needs and preferences. I am trustworthy, reliable, organised
and efficient when working independently.

Testimonial by Alan Seid - https://rafakalapa.com/
I have known Magiarí Diaz for seven years. I grew up bilingual, binational, and bicultural, and
have worked professionally as a translator and interpreter with a few certifications in those fields.
One of the things that most impresses me about Magiarí is how completely fluent she is in both
English and Spanish. Magiarí is also high integrity, reliable, and a team player — an asset to any
group or event. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions. - Alan Rafael Seid

I am writing to give my wholehearted support without any reservations for any translation work,
written or oral, that you might want to hire Magiarí for.
Magiarí translated materials I had written into Spanish, and then interpreted for me in two events.
The first was a talk I gave at the Presidential House of Costa Rica on the topic of “Collaborative
Leadership for the XXI Century.” The second was a week-long residential training program called
“Leveraging your Influence,” also in Costa Rica. Both events took place in January 2016.
As someone who travels all over the world to teach and speak, I have worked with many
translators. Magiarí has stayed with me as an extraordinary translator. Besides her complete
fluency in English and Spanish, she also demonstrated a very high degree of understanding and
attunement to the meaning of my work and conveyed it with clarity and accuracy to the
participants while preserving the integrity of both languages. She worked within a very unusual
context, because I speak Spanish fluently myself. This meant both that I was able to understand
her translation, and that I wasn't always using translation, and thus she had to jump in and out of
translating. She did all of this and more with astonishing grace, flowing organically with me, and
supporting the message and the co-created purpose. Her integrity and motivation touched me
deeply. Throughout this time, I was able to focus on my work knowing that it was being carried to
participants with complete alignment.
I trust you will be pleased with the results of whatever work she does for you - Miki Kashtan, Ph.D.
